Hannah Shined at Niagara Brunswick Lifting Hawks to 7th Place

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - Hilbert Bowling returned to Rapids Bowling Lanes for a day of Baker matches in the Niagara Brunswick Fall Open.

The Hawks recorded a pair of Baker victories against AMCC league opponents but suffered three losses to scholarship programs.

Hilbert finished in 7th place overall after beating Penn State Behrend in the best of 7 baker match (4-2) at the end of the day.  The Hawks earned a 137-pin victory over Pitt-Bradford in the baker total pin fall series midway through the day.

Mount St. Mary's threw the highest match score against Hilbert (1007-772), Mercyhurst (987-850) and Niagara (979-854) both earned wins over the Hawks.

Freshman Brooklyn Hannah continued to pop the pins today as she led the Hawks with a program record-setting 20.6 baker average after knocking down 1070 pins over 52 frames. Senior Paige Mullen was very efficient on the lanes, rolling 42 frames with a 17.7 baker average.

Hilbert (9-11) returns to action next weekend when they travel to the Pittsburgh area for two, 1-day tournaments.  The Hawks will compete in the Brother Pat Lacey Memorial tournament November 8 at Lincoln Lanes (Latrobe) and will then travel to Deer Lakes Bowl in Cheswick November 9 to compete in the Unicorn Invitational.  Both events are being hosted by Saint Vincent College.
