ERIE, Pa. — Hilbert Women's Bowling opened the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Baker Crossover weekend with a strong 3-1 performance on Day 1.
The Hawks started the day with an 889–841 baker victory over Alvernia, then set a new single-match baker scoring record in a 948–812 win against Pitt–Bradford. William Smith handed Hilbert its only loss of the day, 974–850, before the Hawks closed out the session with an 803–601 win over Pitt–Greensburg.
Hilbert's threw a 222, their highest baker game against Pitt-Bradford in the fourth round.
Saint Vincent College led the field after Day 1 with a 4-0 record. The Bearcats also recorded the highest baker match score of the day, a 1007–859 win over Alvernia.
Hilbert finished the day with an 872.5 baker average—150 pins better than their average in 2024—while their opponents combined for an 807.0 average.
Paige (526 pins) and
Jenna Angle (500 pins) rolled the most frames for Hilbert at 30 each, finishing with baker averages of 17.5 and 16.7, respectively.
Brooklyn Hannah recorded the team's highest baker average of the day, knocking down 399 pins over 20 frames for a 20.0 average.
Hilbert returns to Eastland Bowl tomorrow for two key matches against undefeated Saint Vincent (4-0) and Penn State Behrend (3-1).
