ERIE, Pa. – Freshman
Thomas Roty became the first Hilbert College Men's Cross Country runner to earn a Top 6 finish at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship Meet today.
The rookie from Clarence High School clipped the timer in 29:05.2, averaging a 5:51 pace over the 8K course on the campus trail at Penn State Behrend, and he became just the second runner from Hilbert College to honor All-Conference honors.
Sophomore
Alexander Scheer ran a 32:32.9 race fueled by aa 6:33 pace.
Two Alfred State College harriers outpaced three Penn State Behrend runners while Roty broke-up the Lions next five runners.
Alfred State's Christian Westcott (28:11.0) sprinted to the tape, just seconds ahead of his teammate Max Knight (28:18.3) to become the first duo to hold the Lions from claiming the individual medal.
Penn State Behrend did claim their 17th team title.
