KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – Hilbert College Men's Lacrosse faced an old foe today when they traveled to Keuka College for a late-afternoon contest.
The Hawks took an early lead against the Wolves but surrendered nine unanswered goals before falling in a 10-6 final.
Aidan Franko led five different scorers when he reached the back of the net twice and added an assist.  Jason Sage and Matthew Kennedy each added one goal and an assist as Hilbert moved to 2-6 on the season.
Griffin Miller went the full 60 minutes making 21 saves while Joseph Gorman made life a little easier for Miller, recording his second highest caused turnover performance in his career (7) in additional to scooping five ground balls.
Taivaughn Roach won six faceoffs and led the Hawks with seven ground balls.
After falling behind by one less than three minutes into the game, the Hawks responded with three consecutive hits.
Kristopher Newman finished a Matthew Kennedy feed at 9:47 and then Kennedy took an Aidan Franko assist to the net almost five minutes later.  Joey DiMaria's unassisted marker concluded the Hawks run in the opening quarter.
Keuka then strung together nine consecutive goals, stretching over the final 30-seconds of the first quarter through to the first score in the fourth quarter at 13:59.
Aidan Franko and Jason Sage each tallied an unassisted goal cutting the margin in half before Franko and Sage connected one last time for the Hawks with a man-up score.
The Hawks return to action this week with another road game at Hiram College on April 17th with a 5:00 pm start.
