FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Women's Lacrosse program returned to action today when the Hawks battled in their season opener at SUNY Fredonia..
Hilbert gave it their best shot in their first outdoor experience since the 2020 season, but the Blue Devils were took much as they recorded a 20-0 victory.
Olivia Cleary (0-1) was credited with 11 saves (13 goals) in the opening 30 minutes before
Katie Kociszewski closed the non-conference match making four saves (7 goals).
Skyler Holzman collected three draw controls, four caused turnovers and five ground balls while
Gabrielle Avallone recorded one shot today.
Fredonia took a 7-goal first quarter lead and extended it to 13 by the break. The Hawks slowed the pace of the Blue Devils attack in the second half but had too much ground to make up.
Hilbert returns to action next week when they host their home opener Friday, March 8th against SUNY Poly at the Elk Street Color Park Complex at 4pm.
