HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Hilbert College Men's Volleyball picked up a road win tonight after they swept Houghton University for the second time in two weeks.
Brad Converse had a blistering match finishing with 16 kills with only one attack error (.600) and led with a match-high 11 digs and two service aces.

The Hawks earned 41 kills, four service aces and were credited with two blocks while Houghton recorded 30 kills, five service aces and four blocks.
Tyler Hassell finished with nine kills,
Connor Higgins added six kills and
Austin Chandler assisted on 32 of the Hawks kills.
- Hilbert built a 15-8 advantage and then finished the match earning just five points off four kills and a block assist to win 25-20. Tyler Hassell, Chris Smith earned back-to-back kills before Connor Higgins and Mehkai Francis shared the block which set a 19-12 lead. Converse earned Hilbert's final two points for the win.
- Houghton maintained their early lead through a 9-7 score. Francis served the Hawks through seven unanswered points shifting the momentum and setting the 17-10 mark. The Highlanders inched closer, 20-16, but Hassell and Converse scored Hilbert's only points as they rolled to the 25-19 victory.
- The third set looked like a run-away win for Hilbert after Converse added three of Hilbert's six points in a run which set the 8-3 score. The Highlanders got right back in the game after Hilbert gave them four of their five next points, tapping the score at 9-9. After knotting the score five more times, the last at 17-17. Hilbert earned all eight of their final points off kills or service aces to take the 3-set match.

Hilbert will travel to Cincinnati, OH this weekend for a two-day tournament hosted by Mount St. Joseph University. The Hawks will face Marian (WI) February 17
th at 6pm before they tangle against Loras (IA) the next morning at 10 am and the hosts at 12 pm.
