CINCINNATI, OH  – Hilbert College Men's Volleyball traveled to Ohio for a two-day, three match series at Mount St. Joseph University.
 
Hilbert suffered a three-set loss (25-15, 25-15, 25-12) to the 7-2 Marian University Sabers.
 
The Hawks struggled to earn points at the service line, finishing the 3-set match committing 12 service errors overall.
 
Brad Converse recorded a team-best seven kills without committing an attack error and Austin Chandler passed 15 assists and three players shared a game-high four digs. 

• Hilbert earned nine points in the first set off kills.  Nikolas D'Andrea opened the match with three consecutive kills while four other Hawks shared the remaining six kills.  Connor Higgins Mehkai Francis shared Hilbert's only block on of the day.
• The Sabers built a 20-11 lead in the second set, but the Hawks stacked three points together pulling into the closest score of the match.  Marian closed the set with three consecutive service aces for the win.
• Marian went on two different long runs to roll to a 25-12 victory.  Mehkai Francis and Converse collected four of the Hawks five kills in the third set.

Hilbert (4-7) returns to action tomorrow morning for back-to-back matches beginning at 10am.  The Hawks will face Loras College for the third time in program history early and then face Mount St. Joseph for the second time.
