ERIE, PA – Hilbert Men's Soccer traveled to Erie this evening for the team's final AMCC regular season contest of the season. The fourth seeded Hawks were outmatched by the conference's second seed as Penn State Behrend came out on top to head into the postseason with a 6-0 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After an early stop from
Nikolas D'Andrea, Behrend struck with three quick goals in six minutes to open up a 3-0 advantage in the 21
st minute. The Lions grabbed two more goals in the 30
th and 36
th minutes before adding a sixth and final goal of the half in the 45
th minute.
The second half saw less action than the first 45 as the teams combined for 9 shots after 21 total attempts in the first half. Four of the seven Behrend attempts in the half came on goal, with D'Andrea stopping them all to hold the hosts scoreless to keep it a 6-0 game.
