HOW IT HAPPENED
- Natalie Ruhlmann fueled the Hawks seven-point run from the service line to build a 19-15 advantage in the first set. Katie Kociszewski recorded back-to-back kills and Alyssa Collier put the W in the books off a service ace.
- The Bobcats went from a 4-5 score and stacked eight of the next nine points on the scoreboard to pull away 12-6. The Hawks couldn't finish transitions and gave the Bobcats their final four points at the end of the set.
- Hilbert looked in control in the third set, scoring points off transitions and good defense at the net. Greensburg, trailing 15-20 earned only one of their next six points as they jumped ahead 22-20. After a few late-set timeouts, Hilbert gave the guest the set off service errors.
- The Hawks found their rhythm again in transition and stretched a 14-10 lead to a 21-10 margin while Ruhlmann was at the line. She recorded a pair of service aces and Lynndee Ickes, Molly McKinnon and Jenna Revak finished with kills for the win.
- Hilbert, poised to take the fifth set, lead from the first serve until a 10-8 difference. The Hawks were not as aggressive as the Bobcats who stacked three aces with two kills to build a 13-10 advantage en route to the win.
