ERIE, Pa - Hilbert Bowling went 1-4 in the program's first day of competing in 2024.
The Hawks opened the day with a win against Ursuline (790-737) before falling to Division II Daemen (711-846). Hilbert was within striking distance against Penn State Behrend (731-749) and Pitt-Greensburg (737-769) but struggled against Saint Vincent College (925-769) at the end of the night.
Hilbert knocked down a total of 3738 pins (747.6 average) vs their opponents who combined for 4026 total pin fall (805.2 ave).
Paige Angle led the Hawks in three of the five games and shot the best game (208) finishing with a team-best 165.6 average.
Victoria Hanley joined Angle with a 200-game. She did it in her very first collegiate competition against Ursuline and Angle in her first match back after wrist surgery against Saint Vincent College.
Hilbert, 1-4, will return to Eastland Bowling Lanes tomorrow morning for four baker matches against D'Youville, Pitt-Bradford, Daeman and Penn State Behrend.
