AURORA, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Women's Basketball team finally got out of Buffalo today after several days being cooped-up on campus under several feet of snow.
The Hawks made the cross-state trip to Wells College and came away with a 69-20 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference victory.
All eight Hawks put points in the score book tonight as they jumped into 8th place in the AMCC league standings.
Hilbert built a 22-5 lead after ten minutes, extended their hold (11-6) and (16-5) over the next two quarters before putting the game away with an 18-4 fourth quarter performance.
Alesia Hamm (17),
Kelsey Schlagenhauf (12), and
Belle Oakley (10) led the Hawks with double digit points.
Tahlia Kosek notched a career-high eight points, all in the second half, while
Mackenzie Catan matched her offensive performance over the course of four quarters.
Maria Spinelli (6),
Avery Cusack (4) and
Chloe Champagne rounded out the scoring for Hilbert.

Due to snow removal efforts, the women's AMCC contest against Penn State Altoona (8-8, 5-4 AMCC) January 20th will be played without spectator support.
