WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Hilbert College Men's Lacrosse team returned to central Pennsylvania today to finish the April 15th United East Conference game which was interrupted due to lightning.
Penn College (10-5) evened their UEC record to 2-2 after posting a 15-2 victory over the Hawks (3-7), who also moved to 2-2 in league standings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hawks started the day down 2-0 with 10:03 left in the first quarter when they took the field. They found themselves down by eight goals at intermission.
The Wildcats continued to control the pace of the game and tacked on five additional goals before both teams traded points until the final horn.
GAME NOTES
Jason Sage tallied the Hawks first goal off a
Ryan Davis assist at 10:05 in the fourth quarter. And then Davis fired a
Kevin Doyle feed to the back of the net for Hilbert's final score with 6:33 left in the contest.
Ryan Fitch did his best in the face-off X while
Mason Shehadi was credited with three caused turnovers and five ground balls.
Griffin Miller recorded 19 saves in the loss.

Hilbert travels again this weekend when they head across state for the 12pm game at Morrisville State April 19th.
The United East Conference post-season tournament begins Wednesday, May 3rd with the No. 1 seed hosting No. 4 and No. 2 seed hosting No. 3. The UEC Title game will be played Saturday, May 6th with a 1pm face-off at the highest-seeded team remaining.
