HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Hawks men's lacrosse team hosted Senior Day against the Franciscan University Barons today at Hawk Field. The Hawks honored three seniors before the game:
Vincent Cascio,
Jonathan Heck, and
Roland Jimerson. The Barons left with an 18-4 win over the Hawks.
How it Happened: Ryan Davis scored his first goal of the game in the first quarter on a pass from
Kevin Doyle that cut the Barons' lead to 2-1. Davis scored his second, this time unassisted, in the second quarter to bring the Hawks within two at 4-2. The Barons scored 12 in a row before
Jason Sage took off up the field in the fourth quarter and scored on an assist by
Griffin Miller who started the breakout play.
Kevin Doyle scored the last goal of the game while Hilbert was up a man. He scooped up a ground ball and slammed one home from close range.
What's Next: Hilbert travels back to Penn College on Monday, April 24, to pick up where the game left off from last week when it was postponed due to lightning. 2-0 Penn leads with 10:03 left in the 1
st Quarter.
