HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Men's Lacrosse team hosted Keuka College on Hawk Field today. The Hawks battled relentlessly, but ultimately fell to the visiting Wolves 10-4.
How It Happened: Keuka started the scoring on back-to-back goals mid-way through the first quarter.
Joey DiMaria scored his first of the contest on an assist by
Jack Scherrer to close out the first and then notched his second goal of the game to tie the game early in the second quarter. Keuka scored with 11 seconds left before halftime and took a 3-2 lead into the break.
The third quarter was back and forth action between the Wolves and Hawks as both teams alternated two goals.
Vincent Cascio scored both second half goals for the Hawks. The first goal by Cascio was assisted by
Ryan Fitch after the breakout developed deep in the Hilbert zone. Keuka finished the game on a 5 goal run in the fourth quarter to take the win 10-4.
Griffin Miller made 28 saves in net keeping the Hawks in the game.
What's Next: The Hawks (3-5, 2-1) travel to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on Saturday to play against the Penn College Wildcats (9-4, 1-2) in a United East Conference matchup at 1PM.
