HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Hilbert College Hawks hosted Medaille University this afternoon for the first home game of the '23 season. The Hawks ran away with a 7-4 win over the Mavericks!

How it Happened: Hilbert took the attack right to the Mavs and scored 3 unanswered goals in the first period. Ryan Davis, Vincent Cascio, and Joey DiMaria all scored in the first quarter. The Hawks offense continued to work the ball and create scoring opportunities in the second quarter. Davis and Dimaria both notched their second goals of the game and the Hawks took a 5-1 lead into halftime. Cascio scored his second goal of the game in the third quarter off of a great behind the back pass from from Roland Jimerson. DiMaria tallied his third goal of the game late in the fourth quarter and his hattrick sealed the victory for Hilbert. Griffin Miller made 16 saves in net and kept the Hawks in it the whole game, especially late when the Mavericks found their second wind.

What's Next: The Hawks host Keuka College on March 4th at 1PM at St. Francis High School. Stay tuned for potential changes to Saturday's game as inclement weather is forecasted for Western New York.
