PROVIDENCE, RI – The Hilbert College Hawks headed east to take on the Johnson & Wales University Wildcats over spring break. The 'Cats controlled the game from early and took the win 18-1. JWU improved to 3-0 on the season and Hilbert drops to 1-2.
How It Happened – JWU scored 7 unanswered goals in the first quarter despite unwavering effort on defense. The 'Cats added 3 more before the half and took a 10-0 lead into the break. The Wildcats added 8 more goals in the second half.
Kevin Doyle paced the Hawks attack with 7 shots and one of those paid off as he ended the JWU shutout late in the 4
th quarter on an assist from
Joey DiMaria.
Griffin Miller made 13 saves in net.
