GREENSBURG, Pa.  - The Hilbert College Women's Bowling team performed well on the lanes in Day Two of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Round Robin Traditional Tournament today.

The Hawks read the oil patterns, managed their nerves and maintained their composure as they opened the day with a 3-1 record.  But Penn State Behrend got the best of the them as Hilbert suffered a fifth match defeat to go 3-2 at Hillview Lanes in Greensburg.

Hilbert rolled their highest game of the weekend (800) in their loss against a one of the top teams in the league.  Saint Vincent earned a 948-800 win after the Hawks beat Mount Aloysius (744-724), and William Smith (784-713). 

Hilbert concluded the tournament with a (733-723) win over Penn State Altoona and (874-730) loss against Penn State Behrend.

Ashley Dixon led the Hawks today with a 179.8 average through five games.  Katelyn Bean pulled through again for her teammates with a 157.4 average.

Hilbert, with a total pin fall of 3791, rolled a team average of 151.64 through five matches today.

The Hawks finished in 6th place with a total pin fall of 7,208, the program's highest finish ever at an AMCC Round Robin event with a weekend average of 144.2.

The AMCC league will host the second Round Robin Tournament at Classic Lanes in Tonawanda, NY. Medaille University will serve as the host institution for the AMCC Baker Match Tournament which was rescheduled due to a weather event in Western New York in late November 2022.  The Hawks will roll Friday, February 17 against Penn State Behrend and then continue against the other nine school through to Sunday, February 19.
