GREENSBURG, Pa. - The Hilbert College Women's Bowling team took the lanes for the first time in since November 6th at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Round Robin Traditional Tournament today.
The Hawks rolled five matches against half of the other ten AMCC opponents, and they will conclude the first of two Round Robin events tomorrow when they compete against the other half of the bracket.
Hilbert went 1-4 today, earning a big 717-643 victory over the host institution, Pitt-Greensburg, at the Hillview Lanes.
The Hawks were close against La Roche (682-663) in the opening match this morning, before they earned their first AMCC win this year. Hilbert closed the day against three tough teams, falling to Pitt-Bradford (833-704), New Jersey City University (829-692) and Medaille (926-641).
Katelyn Bean led the Hawks with a 154.4 average followed by
Paige Mullen's 144.4.
Hilbert rolled a team average of 136.7 through five matches and earned their highest team score (717) against Pitt-Greensburg.
The Hawks will return to Hillview Lanes tomorrow morning with a 9:00 am first roll.
