ANGOLA, IN – Hilbert Women's Hockey dropped game one of a two game weekend series against Trine tonight at Thunder Ice Arena. Relentless pressure all game by the hosts led the 66 shots on net and a 7-0 final.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

Despite 25 first period shots, Trine was only able to find the back of the net once in the frame. Hilbert goalie Tia Card came up big for the Hawks with 24 stops in the period. The Hawks killed off a pair of penalties in the period.

Most of the Trine damage was done in the second period, with four pucks finding the back of the Hilbert net. The Thunder added two more goals in the final frame to wrap up the 7-0 game.

The penalty kill of the Hawks went a perfect 3-3 in the game, with Card making eight stops while down a skater.

• Card made 59 stops in the contest.
• Sophia Perry (2), Cadence Pounds, and Alexis Cunningham all recorded shots in the game.
