KENMORE, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Women's Bowling team continues to knock down pins as they turned heads on Day 1 of the Niagara Brunswick Fall Classic rolled at Classic Lanes in Kenmore this morning.
The Hawks went 2-3 today with total pin fall victories over D'Youville University (767-732) and Pitt-Bradford (796-767). Niagara University (957-729), William Smith (794-755) and Mt. St. Mary's (1022-813) earned wins over Hilbert.
Ashley Dixon (163.2) and Jenna Angle (161.8) were the two Hawks to throw all five matches as they each finished with +161 average today.
Jenna Angle recorded a team-high 188 against Pitt-Bradford while the Hawks scored their highest pinfall total (813) against Mt. St. Mary's in the final match of the day.
Hilbert returns to Classic Lanes tomorrow morning for three Total Pin Fall Baker matches (Bryant, Mercyhurst, Roberts Wesleyan) before they conclude the Classic with a Best of Seven Baker match against Pitt-Bradford at the end of the day.
