HOW IT HAPPENED
- In an evenly played first set, neither team was able to build a larger than three-point lead. The Hawks kept the game interesting by going on four 3-point plus runs and knotted the set 24-all before the Lions finished with back-to-back kills for the win.
- The Hawks took their first lead in the second set (15-14) after stacking four points together. Altoona regained the lead (18-17) yet the Hawks pulled within one point (22-23) before the Lions scored two above the net for the second victory.
- After working back into the third set and slicing the margin to three (11-14) off a Jada Whitt service ace, the Hawks quickly found themselves down 19-11. Altoona captured the match victory off a service ace and improved to 2-0 in league play.
