ALTOONA, PA – Hilbert Men's Soccer dropped to 1-3 in the conference today with their third straight defeat. Penn State Altoona's high-powered offense was too much for the Hawks today.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The hosting Lions opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a Luke Hall goal for an early 1-0 advantage. Following the goal, Hilbert turned up the pressure with a pair of shots on net by way of
Carter Burke and
Jason Vullo. As he would be all game, Penn State Altoona goalkeeper, Sasha Mohoruk was up to the task, keeping Hilbert scoreless. The lead doubled in the 29th minute after Bailey Musselman cleaned up a corner kick. The 2-0 scoreline held into the half.
The Lions doubled their lead just two minutes into the half, taking a commanding 4-0 lead. A chippy second half that saw three total yellow cards, ended with a fifth Penn State Altoona goal to earn them the 5-0 conference victory.
