BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Men's Soccer team led 1-0 after two minutes of play, but stumbled in a 5-1 non-conference loss at Medaille University's Color Park Sports Complex late this afternoon.
The four-goal separation today is the closest the Hawks have been to Medaille since 2017.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Carter Burke scored his fifth goal of the season at 2:03 and lifted the Hawks to a 1-nill lead.
- The Mavericks' Charlie Stewart then put on a display and collected a hat trick in a span of 14 minutes, beginning at 24:16 and led the hosts to a 3-1 advantage at intermission.
- Undefeated Medaille found the back of the net at 47:20 and again with just over two minutes left in the contest for the 5-1 win.
GAME NOTES
- Hilbert was competitive early in the game, but closed the 90-minutes with only five shots (3 on goal) while trying to contain the hosts who finished with 25 shots.
- Logan Peck made four saves each half and Jason Vullo led with three shots (2 on goal).
