ERIE, Pa. – The Hawks softball team suffered a pair of 5-inning defeats at Penn State Behrend this afternoon.
Hilbert, playing their fifth and sixth game in three days, dropped their first series of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference games.

GAME ONE
- Behrend manufactured six runs in the 2nd and closed the game with three runs in the bottom of the fourth for the 9-0 win.
- Hannah Coken (0-4) struck out two, walked three and finished her four inning performance giving up nine hits and seven earned runs.
- Three Hawks produced Hilbert's hits in Game 1: Bailey Budziszewski connected for a double in the second inning, Emma McNamara singled through the left side in the fourth, and Lily Zimmerman poked a double through the right side in the fifth.
GAME TWO
- The Lions opened the night cap with a pair of runs in the 1st, tacked on six more in the 2nd and padded their lead with two more in the bottom of the third inning while silencing the Hawks bats.
- Hilbert connected twice in the first inning, with McNamara hitting a shot down the left line before Victoria Grayson singled up the middle. By the time the Lily Zimmerman earned the Hawks' final hit in the top of the 4th, Hilbert was trailing by ten runs.
- Rebecca Marmorato (L) shared the circle with Coken evenly. Marmorato struck two out, walked six with six earned runs in the first two innings of the game.
UP NEXT
Hilbert packs the bus for this weekend's AMCC game at Mount Aloysius College on Sunday, April 10. Fans should remember the game was pushed back one day in an effort to assure favorable playing conditions.
