Records:  La Roche 11-15, 6-10 AMCC  |  Hilbert 2-20-1, 0-8 AMCC

GAME ONE
  • La Roche jumped out to an 7-0 lead by the time the Hawks picked up their bats in the bottom of the second inning.  Hilbert responded with three runs slicing the margin to four, but the Redhawks pounded five addition runs in the top of the 6th for the win.
  • Budziszewski earned her two hits in the opening inning and the third inning while all the action for the Hawks took place in the 2nd.  Brionna Raiser-Russell singled, took second off a wild pitch and made it to third off Chloe Champagne's hit.  Victoria Lakeman singled to the pitcher but advanced to third off a throwing error by the pitcher and knocked in a pair of runs for Hilbert.  Avery Cusack earned the final RBI when Lakeman scored off another Redhawk error.
  • Hilbert hit into two double plays quickly ending both the 4th and the 5th innings.
  • Cusack, Emma McNamara and Champagne were credited with one stolen base each.
GAME TWO
  • The Hawks struggled to connect at the plate as they finished with two hits in five innings.  The Hawks went three quick batters in the first and fourth innings while Victoria Grayson singled in the 2nd and Lily Zimmerman earned her hit in the 3rd.    Hannah Coken was hit by the pitch and Champagne reached on a fielder's choice, knocking Coken off at second base.  Champagne then stole 2nd but she was stranded after the next batter.
UP NEXT

The Hawks will host their Senior Day recognition ceremony AFTER the 9:30 am AMCC game against Pitt-Greensburg tomorrow morning.  The Bobcats campus celebrated their 2022 Commencement Saturday and traveled into WNY for the Sunday make-up date.  Both teams agreed to move the game to early morning in an effort to complete the double header before the pending rain arrives in Hamburg.
