PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Hilbert College men's lacrosse team posted their second consecutive United East Conference victory in six days, with the outcome in both contests never in doubt.
The Hawks had 12 players earn at least two points this afternoon in their 26-1 win over La Roche University.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Joey DiMaria led all scorers with five goals (8 points) while Zach Blount and Brandon Bitka were each credited with a team-best five assists (7 points each).
- Brandon Moore picked up his first shutout win of the season, playing the first thirty minutes making three saves.
- Hilbert built large margins in shots (54-8), shots on goal (45-5), ground balls (42-23), and scored twice off their three extra man opportunities.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hawks jumped on the Redhawks early and often, scoring nine goals in the opening quarter and built a 15-nil score by intermission. Hilbert scored five more goals in the third quarter and closed the game with a half dozen in the fourth. La Roche beat the Hawks' keeper with two and a half minutes left in the third quarter but were held in check the rest of the way.
- DiMaria scored three times and assisted twice and Daniel Flynn was another Hawk to earn points as a scorer and a play maker in the first quarter. Zach Blount posted three assists in the fifteen minute period.
- Brett Gomez (2g) and Jack Raymond (2a) were in a zone working with each other in the second session. Defender Joseph Gorman scored his first collegiate goal as an unassisted man-down hit at 8:23 before intermission.
- Brandon Bitka assisted twice and scored once as the Hawks extended their lead 20-1 by the start of the final fifteen.
- Kenny Dango netted twice, Bitka and DiMaria added another score and assist to their performances and Blount closed the game with two more assists.
GAME NOTES
- Blount and Kevin Doyle led all players with five ground balls, many earned off their face-off victories. Blount won 6-of-9 and Doyle finished with 5-of-7. But it was Travis Kilanowski who led with eight face-off wins (8/11).
- Kilanowski and Michael Anzalone were aggressive on defense forcing five caused turnovers each.
