ST. MARY'S CITY, MD – Hilbert College faced their first real challenge this spring when they battled Division III power St. Mary's College. The Seahawks dominated in their program's first United East Conference contest as a first-year member in the previous NEAC league.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- St. Mary's, in just their first year in the United East Conference, dominated the game from start to finish. The Seahawks unleashed 34 shots in the game's first 30 minutes, slowed their attack towards the frame in the second half but still scooped double figure ground balls each quarter while limiting Hilbert to 13 for the game.
- St. Mary's built an 11-0 lead by intermission and tacked on eight more goals in the second half while keeping the Hawks off the score board.
GAME NOTES
- St. Mary's closed the game with advantages in shots, ground balls, and won 20-23 face-offs and were successful in 22 clears while the Hawks completed just 16.
- Griffin Miller (1-3) made 13 saves in 44 minutes and Matthew Roche closed the game making six saves in 16 minutes.
