FREDONIA, N.Y.  – The Hilbert College Women's Volleyball team faced Fredonia State tonight and fell in straight sets to the Blue Devils.

 HOW IT HAPPENED

• Hilbert earned 43 points, 12 kills, one service ace, one block solo, and 47 digs, while surrendering 13 points to Fredonia's serves.
• Jenna Revak led with seven kills (8 digs) as the only primary hitter to finishing hitting in the positive.  Ashley Page reached for 12 digs and Maria Spinelli was marked with the solo service ace as Katie Kociszewski grabbed the solo block.
• Fredonia jumped out early and held an 18-6 lead before hitting the 25-11 win in the opening set.
• Both teams traded points in the second set, as Hilbert trailed 7-8 midway.  The Hawks, down 10-14 found themselves in a 10-point hole and finished the set without scoring a point before losing 25-14.  Revak earned four kills in the middle game.
• The Hawks held a 7-4 lead, fueled by Nadia Loggins kill and Spinelli's service ace.  Revak collected another kill, pulling Hilbert closer (10-11) after the Blue Devils went on a 7-3 run.  Revek and Kara Valvo earned two of the Hawks final points before they dropped the third set, 25-18.
