DEPEW, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Women's Bowling team earned the program's first win of the season at Day 1 of the Daemen University Invitational.
Ashley Dixon led the Hawks to a 1-4 record after earning a 178.0 total pinfall average.
The Hawks picked up their first win in a non-conference match against AMCC league member Pitt-Bradford and suffered losses against Walsh, and cross-town rivals D'Youville, Medaille and Daemen.
Ashley Dixon rolled a team-high of 189 against D'Youville,
Paige Mullen (168.0) fired a 179 against Daemen,
Katelyn Bean (143.0) scored 171 in back-to-back games,
Julia Stutz (125.2) shot her best – 155 – against D'Youville and
Morgan Ebert (111.6) scored a 120 against Walsh.
The Hawks return to the AMF Lancaster Lanes tomorrow morning for Baker Matches against Penn State Behrend, Saint Vincent, Pitt-Bradford and Daemen.
