CRESSON, Pa. – The Hilbert College Women's Soccer team battled to a 2-1 victory at Mount Aloysius College this afternoon and ensured themselves a spot in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference postseason tournament with an opportunity to host a First Round game.
The Hawks, trailing 1-0 at intermission, pushed for a pair of second half goals to secure a much-needed road win over the Mounties.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After 40-minutes of scoreless action, Mount Aloysius snuck one to the back of the net which lifted the hosts to a 1-nil lead at intermission.
- The Hawks were credited with an own goal which evened the contest at 1-all just four minutes into the second half.
- Madison Matuszak delivered a passl to Macy Kisner who carried the ball towards the frame before chipping it over the keeper for the game winner in the 87th minute.
GAME NOTES
- Both teams were able to find space creating offensive chances as Mount Aloysius held a one shot advantage (21-20) over the Hawks. Hilbert worked for eight corners and held the Mounties to only two.
- Hailey Kuder picked up her third win of the season closing the second half making seven saves in net.
- Grace Zabawa led the Hawks with nine shots, five on goal while Macy Kisner, Gabrielle Avallone and Vanessa Van Slyke each finished with two shots on goal.
UP NEXT
Hilbert travels Tuesday, October 25th for their final regular season game. The Hawks (3-2-1) will battle Alfred State College (3-3) in a 5pm contest at Pioneer Stadium. A Hilbert win secures the right to host a First Round play-off game.
The First Round games (No. 6 at No. 3 and No. 5 at No. 4) will be played on Saturday, October 29. The winners advance to the semifinal games hosted by No. 1 and No. 2 seeds (November 2). The highest remaining seed will host the title game on Saturday, November 5.
