BRADFORD, Pa. – The Hilbert College Women's Volleyball took part in a trimatch at La Roche University this afternoon.
The Hawks clawed with the Redhawks in three exciting sets of long rallies while falling quickly to King's College in the nightcap finishing the day at 0-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED La Roche
- Hilbert earned 30 points, 29 kills, four service aces, and 47 digs while collecting six blocks at the net.
- Jenna Revak posted 14 digs, while McKenna Rice led with 11 kills and matched Angelita Ledesma's 11 digs.
- La Roche took an 8-3 lead in the opening set, and Hilbert rallied to knot the score at 14-all then went up by one off a Katie Kociszewski's kill. The Redhawks went on a 4-0 run but Hilbert chased them back with their own rally to force a 21-all score late. The hosts earned their final four points off kills, winning 25-23.
- In a back-and-forth middle set, La Roche took an 18-10 lead before Ashley Page served the Hawks back into a 17-19 score. Kara Valvo mirrored Page at the service line and knotted the game at 21-21. La Roche earned the final two points in transition to repeat a 25-23 set victory.
- The Hawks took the early lead in the third set, going up 6-3 and maintain the advantage until the hosts matched the score at 7-7 and again at 9's. The Redhawks used a four-point run to pull away and build enough cushion for the 25-21 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED King's
- Hilbert earned 18 points, 14 kills, three service aces, and 33 digs.
- Michaela Rice led with 6 kills, Jaden Helbig chipped in nine assists and Jenna Revak added seven digs.
- An early 5-5 score in set one quickly disappeared after Kings earned seven unanswered points. They used a second run to build a 20-10 score before winning 25-14. The Hawks earned seven kills and a pair of service aces in the opening set.
- Kings earned 19 of their 25 points at the net or service line in set two (25-10) and rolled in the 25-9 final set victory for the match win.
UP NEXT
Hilbert Volleyball will battle at home three dates next week. They open on Tuesday night hosting Penn State Behrend in a 7pm AMCC game before welcoming Cazenovia on Thursday night back in the Hafner Recreation Center. The Hawks close the week with another AMCC match Saturday beginning at 11 am.
