HAMBURG, N.Y. –
Macy Kisner (Stanley, N.Y./Midlakes) was named the AMCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week January 17.
The 5-9 sophomore continued to pace the 5-12 women's basketball team as her all-around play propelled the Hawks to three consecutive victories last week. She scored 45 points, pulled down 45 rebounds, was credited with 17 steals and only three fouls in 120 minutes of action in wins over Pitt.-Bradford, Penn St.-Altoona and Mount Aloysius.
The third-year student-athlete has grown into a dependable teammate in only her second season of NCAAA action. While guiding the Hawks to their 4-4 AMCC record, Kisner averaged three double doubles fueled by 15 points & 15 rebounds, added 5.7 steals in 40-minutes per game over the span of four days.
Kisner scored 20 points, earned 20 rebounds along with five steal on Wednesday. She tallied 12 points, 10 rebounds (six offensive) in a make-up AMCC game on the road Friday and rebounded on Saturday with 13 points, 15 rebounds and seven steals the next day. She closed the week exhausted without taking a break in any of the games.
She collected her ninth double-double this season after posting four straight in a full 40-minutes per game since returning from the semester break.
Kisner is ranked 1st in the AMCC in steals, 9th in scoring, 4th in minutes per game, and 3rd in rebounding.
