HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Bobcats knocked down six 3-pointers in the first half, hitting 50-percent from deep, lifting the hosts by 12 points at the break.
  • Three different Hilbert players put points on the board, keeping Hilbert within a two possession game, in the first five minutes.  Greensburg connected on three consecutive deep shots building a double digit lead at 12:58.
  • Both teams traded hoops until the Hawks went on a 4-point run which pulled Hilbert within six (32-26).  The Bobcats jumped back to a double-figure lead two trips later and held that margin to intermission.
  • The Hawks fell into an 18-point deficit less than three minutes into the second half before they slowly dug out of the hole.
  • Zach Miller knocked down his first 3-pointer eight minutes into the second half, trimming the difference to 11 points.  Eric Jackson added back-to-back jumper and Miller struck again from deep, pulling Hilbert within six points (69-63).
  • Scott Warner's layup at 6:13 pulled Hilbert within one, which was the best the Hawks would do the rest of the way.  Warner tossed in his second bucket and Miller struck from downtown as they both trimmed the difference to a single point two more times.
  • The Hawks extended the game with late-game fouls and the Bobcats responded, going 4-for-4 at the charity stripe to pull out the win.

GAME NOTES
  • Quran Briggs tossed in 12 points and  Jon Evans added 11 hitting 5-of-8 from the floor.
  • Hilbert improved their field goal percent to 50% in the second half and closed the game with 47.2-percent.  The Hawks grabbed 41 rebounds, 16 on the offensive boards which they converted into 15 points.
  • Greensburg opened the game hitting 62.7-percent which helped them build their lead after 20 minutes.  They cooled in the second period to 40.6% and worked for 33 rebounds.  The Bobcats hit 10-of-25 from beyond the arc in the win.
