GREENSBURG, Pa. - A big second-half effort by the Hawks wasn't enough as Hilbert College men's basketball team fell in an 88-81 AMCC road game to Pitt-Greensburg.

HIGHLIGHTS
Zach Miller led five Hilbert player to post double figure scoring hitting 4-of-7 three-point field goals to tally 14 second half points. Â
Edward Perez collected his second double-double this week, pairing 10 points with 13 rebounds and
Eric Jackson went 5-for-5 from the floor, tacking on 10.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bobcats knocked down six 3-pointers in the first half, hitting 50-percent from deep, lifting the hosts by 12 points at the break.
- Three different Hilbert players put points on the board, keeping Hilbert within a two possession game, in the first five minutes. Â Greensburg connected on three consecutive deep shots building a double digit lead at 12:58.Â
- Both teams traded hoops until the Hawks went on a 4-point run which pulled Hilbert within six (32-26). Â The Bobcats jumped back to a double-figure lead two trips later and held that margin to intermission.
- The Hawks fell into an 18-point deficit less than three minutes into the second half before they slowly dug out of the hole.
- Zach Miller knocked down his first 3-pointer eight minutes into the second half, trimming the difference to 11 points. Â Eric Jackson added back-to-back jumper and Miller struck again from deep, pulling Hilbert within six points (69-63).
- Scott Warner's layup at 6:13 pulled Hilbert within one, which was the best the Hawks would do the rest of the way. Â Warner tossed in his second bucket and Miller struck from downtown as they both trimmed the difference to a single point two more times.Â
- The Hawks extended the game with late-game fouls and the Bobcats responded, going 4-for-4 at the charity stripe to pull out the win.
GAME NOTES
- Quran Briggs tossed in 12 points and  Jon Evans added 11 hitting 5-of-8 from the floor.
- Hilbert improved their field goal percent to 50% in the second half and closed the game with 47.2-percent. Â The Hawks grabbed 41 rebounds, 16 on the offensive boards which they converted into 15 points.
- Greensburg opened the game hitting 62.7-percent which helped them build their lead after 20 minutes. Â They cooled in the second period to 40.6% and worked for 33 rebounds. Â The Bobcats hit 10-of-25 from beyond the arc in the win.
