- The visitors on the score board stretched their lead to as high as 31 points (4:39) late in the second half but Hilbert didn't quit down the stretch.
- Hilbert completed a pair of traditional 3-point plays in that run which was dominated by rookies on the court.
- The Hawks outscored John Carroll 14-5 in the game's final four minutes.
GAME NOTES
- John Carroll took advantage of Hilbert's 20 turnovers scoring 23 points and sprinted past the Hawks scoring 22 (vs 8) fast-break points.
- Hilbert scored 44 points in the paint mainly out of offensive executions and offensive rebounds while more than half of the Blue Streak' 50 points were scored off transition attacks off the dribble to the lane.
