UTICA, N.Y. – SUNY Poly earned a repeat non-conference, three-set victory over the Hilbert Hawks in women's volleyball tonight.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED

• A pair of kills by Katie Kociszewski and Casandra Thompson pulled Hilbert within two points early, but the Wildcats went on an 11-1 taking a 16-4 lead.  Maria Spinelli gave Hilbert their final earned point as they dropped a 25-8 set.
• The Hawks earned nine kills in the second set, collecting their highest set attack percentage for the season (.240) but fell in a 25-14 middle defeat. Spinelli led with three kills in that run.
• Two kills by Kociszewski, and solo scores by Ashley Page, and Nadia Loggans gave Hilbert a fighting chance in the final set yet the Wildcats sprinted to a 25-10 match win.

GAME NOTES

• Spinelli led with four kills and 12 digs while Page added three kills (.214), six assists and eight digs.  Spinelli and Kociszewski (4 kills) earned a block assist, Abigail Elisofon chipped in six assists and five digs and Kayleigh Chudoba knocked in a service ace.
