HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Women's Volleyball team faced a hard-hitting Pitt-Bradford team in the Hafner Recreation Center tonight.  The Hawks struggled with serve receive and fell in straight sets to the Panthers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 

• Bradford jumped out to a 10-4 lead and stretched it to 22-6 before Hilbert got on the board with seven points.  A service error by the Hawks gave the Panthers the first set, 25-9.
• Bradford again went out on a run at the start of the second set.  This time Hilbert stuck around and when the Hawks took an 11-10 lead, the visitors called a timeout.  Four different Hilbert players earned points off kills in that run.
• The Panthers went on a run, fueled by the service line and built a 19-12 spread which they rode to the 25-15 victory.
• Bradford found the hole in Hilbert's serve receive and scored seven  points off aces in the final set for the win.

GAME NOTES

• Maria Spinelli led the Hawks with three kills, Kayleigh Chudoba finished with seven digs and Spinelli and Katie Kociszewski each earned solo blocks in the loss.
• Bradford was credited with 13 service aces, 34 kills and 32 assists.
