ERIE, Pa. – The Hilbert College women's bowling team returned to action this weekend at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Baker Matches hosted by Penn State Behrend.
The Hawks earned a pair of wins each day and closed their first conference weekend with a 4-5 Baker Match record.
THE BASICS
- Location: Eastland Bowling Lanes, Erie, Pa.

- Weekend Champs: St. Vincent College with a 9-0 record
- Hilbert Results: 4-5 , 7th place finish after tie-breaker rules applied
- St. Vincent High Bowler: Dani Koehler, 18.77 average
- Hilbert High Bowler: Victoria Kurdziel, 15.98 average
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hawks set a new-program, AMCC-win record after going 4-5 in Erie over the weekend. The bowling team also matched the program's previous season-high 7-win record as they currently stand at 7-14 overall.
Hilbert out-rolled New Jersey City University and La Roche University Saturday and then claimed two more wins against Pitt-Bradford and Penn State Altoona on Sunday.
The Hawks suffered defeats against Penn State Behrend, Mt. Aloysius, and St. Vincent College February 1 before slipping against cross-town rivals, D'Youville College and Medaille College on day two of the cross-over.
Victoria Kurdziel earned the highest Baker Average (15.98) after pushing over a team-high 1,406 pins in 88 frames.
Kaitlyn Barone knocked down 1,334 pins as she and
Dyana Durmaj (1,091) tossed all 90 frames over the weekend.
