HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College women's bowling team returned to action tonight and hosted their second match of the season at Braymiller's Lanes.
The Hawks went 0-3 against St. Vincent College after dropping two traditional total pin fall matches before a Best of Seven Baker match.
1st Game:
The Bearcats earned an 848 – 651 total pin fall victory.
Victoria Kurdziel's 163 led the Hawks with
Mikayla Rix chasing right behind firing a 152.
2nd Game:
St. Vincent rolled even better with three players scoring 200+ points in ten frames. Kurdziel matched the visitor's efforts, reaching a 212. Rix added 30 pins to her second game score and
Elizabeth Pesante improved by 25 pins.
3rd Game:
The Bearcats swept the Hawks in four games (201-107/148-130/182-144/136-113) with a 166.75 Baker average compared to Hilbert's 123.5.
Hilbert (1-5) begins Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play this weekend when they host to the AMCC Round Robin Tournament at Classic Lanes in Kenmore, NY. Play begins at 10 am on Saturday as six other AMCC schools will be in attendance. All seven teams will complete in the five-game Baker series rolling four games on Saturday and three matches on Sunday. Due to the uneven number of teams, each school will have one bye match.
