HAMBURG, N.Y. – Sophomore
Brianna Stegmeier put on another fine display in goal today, but the Hilbert women's soccer team came up short on the scoreboard. Alfred State College used a late-game goal to win 3-0 in non-conference action in Hamburg.
The visiting Pioneers took a 1-0 advantage to intermission. Hilbert got off four shots but they gave up 14 to A-State who scored late in the first half (39:52).
Stegmeier was credited with 11 second-half saves and finished with another career day, making 15 in all.

Amber Stuck and M. McNeill shared Hilbert's three shots on goal as McNeill led the Hawks with three shots.
Hilbert (0-7) opens the AMCC portion of their game schedule with a road game this Saturday, September 22 at Pitt-Greensburg. The Hawks 2pm game will be followed by the men's game at 4:15pm.
