BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Hilbert College men's soccer team closed the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference portion of their 2018 schedule with a 14-0 loss to Medaille College this afternoon in an off-campus home game played at Dobson Field.
The Mavericks got off to a fast start, scoring the game winning goal in the second minute of the game and never looked back. Â
Brandon Bundschuh was credited with Hilbert's first shot (on goal) less than 30-seconds before Medaille tallied their 5th goal in the 19th minute.
Benjamin Vogt and Bundschuh each added one more shot in the first half, as the Hawks went to intermission trailing by eight goals.
Evan Robillard collected seven saves in the first 45-minutes and shifted to the midfield when Bundschuh covered the goal the second half. Â
Medaille added six second period scores and Bundschuh corralled five saves.Â
Vogt, who took a hard fall late the game, and
Caleb Denton combined for Hilbert's final two shots. Â
Medaille unleashed 53 shots and took 10 corners.
The Hawks (0-14) have one non-conference game remaining on their schedule. Â Hilbert will travel to Alfred State October 25 for a 7pm game under the lights.
