ALFRED, N.Y. - Brandon Bundschuh netted his second goal of the season in Hilbert's 7-1 non-conference loss at Alfred State College tonight.

The 0-15 Hawks closed their 2018 season against the Pioneers who improved to 5-10-2.   

In 2019-20, Alfred State College will become a full member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference raising the men's soccer league to 11 teams next fall.

The hosts took a 4-0 lead to intermission and added two more goals before Bundschuh's efforts paid off in the 82nd minute.  

Hilbert played a defensive first half before they shifted player positions on the field in the second period.  The Hawks attempted just two shots the first 45 then turned-up the heat with nine second-half shots.  Alfred State held a 38-11 advantage in shots and 18-3 in corners.

Tucker Reynolds returned to net and was credited with 12 saves in 90-minutes.
