HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College women's soccer team fell in a 5-0 defeat to Mt. Aloysius this afternoon at home.

The Mounties, at 5-2, hang onto 3rd place in the league standings as they prepare for their final week and a half of action.

Hilbert gave up four goals before intermission and had to play catch-up the second forty-five. 

Jenna Castricone made three saves in the opening half before she stepped on the pitch as a field player.

Brianna Stegmeier closed the game with seven saves while giving up one goal in the second half.

"This afternoon's result was disappointing," said coach Kelly Starchok.  "Mt Aloysius showed determination and grit throughout the entire game.  We need to do better job of bringing the effort to the field and we need to attack and defend as a whole team as we play out of season."

Mt. Aloysius outshot the Hawks 38 to 12 and didn't stop attacking until the final horn as they netted their final goal of the game at 89:01.

When not taking corner kicks, Alyssa Siracuse led the attack with three shots on goal.  Gina Mallone and Emily Gawlak added two each.

Hilbert (2-10-1, 2-5 AMCC) will host D'Youville College in Buffalo Cup action this Wednesday, October 18 at 3:15pm.
