HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College women's lacrosse team returned to action this afternoon playing their fourth game in six days. 

The Hawks (0-11) fell to Medaille College (9-3) in a 20-5 game.

Nikki Schneider (3), Brooklyn Gormel and Olivia Tom tallied the Hilbert goals where as the Mavericks got scoring contribution from seven different players, led by Amanda Ruszczyk's five hits.

Medaille posted five straight goals in the game's first eight minutes of the game before Schneider scored twice cutting the score to 5-2.

Ruszczyk added three goals more before Schneider collected a hat-trick on the day at 6:11. 

Olivia Tom score Hilbert's final 1st  half goal and Paige Chatt assisted Gormel's goal in the second half  for the final score of the day.

The Mavs doubled the Hawks shots and shots-on-goal performances. 

Each goalie finished with eight saves as Allison Austin went the full 60-minutes between the pipes for Hilbert again.

With one game remaining on their 2016 schedule and an 8-day break from competition, Hilbert closes their season with another home game April 28.  Elmira College will play their first women's lacrosse game in Hamburg.
