Morrisville, N.Y. – Brenden Deady came up with 24 saves today as the Hilbert College men's lacrosse team faced a red-hot Morrisville State at home.
The Hawks dropped a 13-6 NEAC game to the undefeated Mustangs (4-0) who unleased almost three times as many shots as Hilbert.
Andrew Tirabassi was the only multi-goal scorer for Hilbert as he netted twice.

James Duffy posted one goal each as Simon and Duffy (2) were credited with the three Hilbert assists.
Morrisville built a 4-1 lead after 15-minutes of action and then matched the Hawks' offensive production in the second quarter with one goal each.
By intermission, Morrisville held a 35-7 shot advantage and Deady had already collected 19 saves in 30 minutes. Hilbert led in ground balls (16-12) but trailed in face-offs wining only 1-0f-9.
The Hawks were more aggressive offensively in the second half, attempting 13 shots, but they gave up five more third period goals. Each team scored three times in the final quarter for the 13-6 spread.
Bryan Binaxas earned game-high honors with six ground balls and four caused turnovers.
David DeCocq and Deady trailed with three ground balls each.

Elijah Ryan made an appearance for the final 6:26 of the game and was credited with one save as well as one goal against.
