Stephanie Glaza collected 12 saves today, but the Houghton College Highlanders were too potent on offense as the Hawks slipped in a rainy 17-2 loss today at the Nichol's School turfed field.
Houghton improved to 5-5 while Hilbert continues to search for their first victory of the season.
Midway through the first half, Houghton held an 8-0 lead before
Nikki Schneider scored an unassisted goal at 15:28. The Hawks gave up four more goals over the next eight minutes to fall behind 12-1.

Hilbert limited Houghton to three second-half goals for the 17-2 final.
Houghton held advantages in all statistical categories except for saves.

Stephanie Glaza led Hilbert with five ground balls, many loose bouncers around the circle.
