HAMBURG, N.Y. – In a very physical game, the visiting RedHawks from La Roche College escaped with a 1-0 overtime victory at Hilbert College September 27.  Justin Magnotti elevated high above everyone else to head in the game winner in the 94th minute to take the opening AMCC game on each team's schedule.  Hilbert dropped to 2-6-1, 0-1 while La Roche improved to 7-2 and 1-0.

In an evenly played game, the win could have gone either way.  Both teams were called for 15+ fouls and worked their tails off to gain an edge with the ball. La Roche held slight advantage in shots each period and got the only shot off in overtime for the win.  

Both teams had at least one shot hit crossbar and post but La Roche did it once in a two successive shots.

Brandon Henry was credited with two saves and Spencer Wolfe three for the victors.  Matt Hamister led all players with four shots and Matthew Buehlmann and Austin Mathis each chipped two towards the net for Hilbert.

Hilbert returns to action this Tuesday when they host Penn State Behrend at 4pm.
