GREENVILLE, PA – The Hilbert College men's soccer team more than doubled Thiel College's shots Thursday but the Hawks just couldn't finish the run and suffered a 1-0 non-conference road loss September 19.  Thiel netted the game winning score in the 71st minute to improve to 4-3 overall.

The Hawks (1-4) dominated the first period of play, outshooting the Tomcats 12-4.  They continued to challenge for a score winning the shots-on-goal tally (6-3), but Conor Shanley set-up Ray Hanzack for the game's only goal at 71:12.

Matt Hamister led the Hilbert charge with five shots while he and Tomas Bojkovski each ended with two shots-on-goal.

Hilbert's Jeremy Kraska was credited with two saves in the 90 minute contest and Andrew Hindman finished with six saves.

The Hawks return to action September 21 when they host Alfred State (1pm).
