Shaheem Ellis (Rochester, NY/Edison Tech) helped the Hawks go 2-0, with a non-conference win over SUNY Canton before beating AMCC foe Carlow University on the weekend.  

The 5-10 senior point guard averaged 24.5 points, 6.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.5 rebounds per game.  He finished the week hitting 41.2% from the floor while leading the AMCC in 3-point consistency – last week hitting 5-of-12 attempts – in addition to sinking 12-of-14 free throws. Ellis' big game was against SUNY Canton when he tossed in 26 points (7-16 FG, 4-8 3pt FG, 8-8 FT) while adding seven assists, and three steals in 32 minutes of action.
