Rosita Waltz-Rieber earned her first Hawk of the Week honor in her collegiate career as she continues to develop into a consistent runner for the women's cross country team.  The Mount St. Mary's Academy graduate has improved her form, focus and endurance for the Hawks and has been a reliable teammate.

Waltz-Rieber continues to drop minutes off her race times and this past weekend was no different. 

She covered the 6K course at Seneca Lake State Park in 35:01.0, which is four minutes faster than her first career 6K run and 3.5 minutes faster than her previous personal best. 

Her season-opening 5K race was 36:03 and this weekend she sliced a full minute off that pace, while extending the distance by one kilometer.
