Austin O’Shei had an outstanding week for the baseball team and earned his first Hawk of the Week April 29.

The junior transfer posted a .467 batting average and a .529 on base percentage over the Hawks’ four games played last week.

The catcher from Hamburg High School went 7-for-15 at the plate with a pair of doubles and scored six runs while driving in another.

O’Shei also tallied five stolen bases in five attemps.  He showed strong play defensively in the Game 1 win over Alfred State as he threw out both runners who attempted to steal 2nd on him. 

In the three games he caught last week, O’Sheil posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage and didn’t allow a single passed ball.
